# Alu-Cab Warranty Coverage and How to File a Claim
## What does Alu-Cab warranty coverage include?
Alu-Cab warranty coverage applies strictly to defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions. It does not cover damage caused by misuse, improper installation, accidents, or normal wear and tear. All claims are reviewed against the manufacturer's warranty policy.
## How do I start a warranty claim?
To begin a claim, contact our support team and provide the unit serial number. The serial number can be found on the stamped tag above the driver-side door panel.
## What happens after a claim is submitted?
Once submitted, your claim is reviewed with Alu-Cab. A resolution is communicated to you after we receive their response, which typically takes several business days. Depending on the issue, the next step may involve repair, replacement, or another recommended solution.
## Are repairs covered through warranty?
For some warranty-related repairs, labor may be covered. In one case, the labor to take the unit to an auto glass fitment center was covered so the glass could be removed, the sealant trimmed, and the glass reinstalled.
If labor is covered, it can be handled in either of these ways:
1. You pay the repair shop first and are reimbursed by check.
2. The repair shop contacts us so payment can be made by credit card over the phone.
## What if a repair shop is recommended?
Alu-Cab may recommend having a glass shop reinstall the glass for certain issues. In some cases, a rear contour window grid or rear molle panel may also be offered as an alternative solution.
## What should I know about alternative parts or remedies?
If a rear molle panel is sent as the chosen solution, Alu-Cab will not be liable for any further issues with the rear door after that part is supplied.
## How are warranty decisions made for damaged parts?
Warranty approval depends on whether the reported issue qualifies as a defect in materials or workmanship under normal use conditions — as defined by Alu-Cab's manufacturer warranty policy. If the issue does not meet those criteria (for example, if it results from misuse, modification, or accidental damage), the claim may be denied.
