# What Does “Awaiting Tracking Information” Mean?
**"Awaiting Tracking Information"** means your order has been placed but has not yet shipped. Once your items are on their way, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number. If your order is also marked **Awaiting Stock**, allow 1–3 business days for an estimated ship date.
## What does “Awaiting Tracking Information” mean?
“Awaiting Tracking Information” means your order has not yet shipped. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number as soon as your items are on their way. In some cases, the order may also be marked as **Awaiting Stock**, which means additional processing time — typically 1–3 business days — may be required to confirm your estimated ship date.
## What should I do while my order is awaiting tracking information?
1. Wait for your shipping confirmation email, which will include a tracking number and a link to track your package.
2. If your order is marked **Awaiting Stock**, allow up to 3 business days for a ship date confirmation, as noted above.
3. If you have not received a shipping update after 3 business days, contact our support team via [live chat, email, or phone](https://kb.ok4wd.com/contact) for the fastest response.
## Why is my order still waiting?
Orders remain in "Awaiting Tracking Information" status for four main reasons: the item is out of stock, in production, being drop-shipped from the manufacturer, or delayed by high order volume. Specific causes include:
- The item is not yet available in stock.
- The item is in production.
- The item is being shipped directly from the manufacturer (drop shipping).
- There is a high volume of orders currently being processed.
## How will I know when it ships?
If you do not receive a shipping confirmation email within **3 business days** of placing your order, log in to your account to check your order status.
