# Why is my order delayed even though the item showed as in stock on your website?
We rely on real-time inventory feeds directly from our vendors — something we're able to offer thanks to the close, established relationships we've built with the brands we carry over the years, not every retailer gets that level of integration. Even so, inventory can shift fast, and occasionally a stock change isn't reflected until just after an order's already placed.
If that happens, we'll reach out right away with options rather than leave you hanging — that might mean substituting a comparable in-stock item, waiting for the original to come back in, or canceling that part of the order.
