How do roof rack load bars attach?
The load bars attach to the roof rail track using mounting brackets, an M8 square nut, an M8 hex bolt, an M8 flat washer, and a nut cap. The mounting feet box includes the hardware needed to mount the load bars to the T-track on the roof.
How do I install the load bars?
- Insert the appropriate M8 square nut into the roof rail track.
- Position the mounting bracket over the roof rail.
- Secure the bracket using an M8 hex bolt, an M8 flat washer, and a nut cap.
Instructions are also available from the manufacturer’s site.
What hardware is used with the load bars?
The load bar setup uses M8 hardware. The mounting feet box includes the hardware for attaching the load bars to the T-track on the roof.
What are the available load bar heights?
The load bars themselves are 25 mm tall. The feet are available in three profiles:
- Low profile: keeps the load bars touching the cap
- Standard height: adds 40 mm in addition to the load bar
- Extra high profile: adds 60 mm in addition to the load bar
Will the load bars clear a shark-fin antenna?
The standard height should be just enough to clear it. If more clearance is needed, the extra high profile provides additional height.
